What would Christmas with no presents be like for a child?
What would no presents EVER be like for a child.
For many children in developing nations this is the case. Operation Christmas Child aims to deliver a gift to these children. All we do is fill shoeboxes with age appropriate toys, educational materials such as pencils and paper, and hygiene items. Boxes are wrapped, shipped, distributed and enjoyed. Donations can be made to cover the shipping costs. To find out when shoeboxes need to be prepared by and the guidelines for filling them keep your eye on What’s On or contact us.
We encourage people to bring donations of non-perishable food to be placed in the baskets in the foyer of the church. This is then distributed between Uniting Church and Anglican emergency food distribution centres.
Sick of all your coins weighing you down?
Got coins in your pocket that won’t even buy you a coffee?
Pop them into the Small Change for a Big Change box at the rear of the chapel. All the little bits of money that don’t do you much good adds up to be a real help to many organisations. Each month the money put into the box is donated to a different charity or mission.
