St Peter & Emmaus Church

The brief version!

St Peter’s Anglican Church and the Emmaus Uniting Church joined in 2003. Together we represent many years of faithful worship and service in Mount Hawthorn, Joondanna and surrounding suburbs. The vision shared by both congregations was that they could serve God and their community more fully by joining their spiritual, financial and physical resources. Churches were demolished, land sold and the new worship centre built. Services began in the new building on Sunday, September 2, 2008. At St Peter and Emmaus, members of the Uniting and Anglican churches join together for prayer, worship, ministry and companionship, for we are all one in Christ. Christians from all families of the church are warmly welcomed to worship together and share the gospel of God’s love for all people.
